How to Remove or Hide the Blogger Blogspot Navigation Bar

I've been looking for a way to remove the Blogger navigation bar from the topmost portion of this little blog of mine.   I got it when I chose to use a simple and classic Blogger template.

My reason for removing it?  Well, I just don't want my Blogger blog to be obviously seen as a Blogger blog.  He-he-he!  Dont get me wrong.  Having a navigation bar in there is pretty handy sometimes.  But most of my friends say that this bar makes my obvious blogspot blog a blogspot blog.  Got it?

Removing or hiding it is easy actually.

Screen Shots for References - October 2011

Just like what I did in the previous months, I am making a separate post on the screen shots that I need for October 2011.  Again, the primary purpose of these screen shots is to make it easier for me to refer, post, publish or embed such pictures in other websites.  I'd rather host the pictures in my blog rather than hosting them somewhere else to avoid losing them or getting deleted.  I'm using this page as a stock photo page.  Please feel free to use the pictures or screen shots.  Just dont forget to give credits or links to this little blog, ok?!

For this month of October 2011, here are my screen shots.

Samsung SCX-4623FW : problem with configuring it wirelessly

My Boss has just purchased new PSC Printers. As per my suggestion, he bought two sets from two different brands: a Canon Pixma MX350 and a Samsung SCX-4623FW. Both got the PSC capabilities, the print-scan-copy thingy. And we got an old HP P1102w as well. Three brands... to me this is a good mix. At least, when one breaksdown and the customer service sucks, office operations can still go on.

I was able to install the Canon Pixma with ease using their installer disk. And since this is a wireless enable printer, I've also installed this on my offimates' computers. No sweat...

Now comes the Samsung SCX-4623FW...

Email Scam Alert: Lost Wallet During a Trip Abroad

This morning, I was shock to see an email from one of my good friends.  In his email, he stated that he is in Spain and lost his wallet and cellphone.  Therefore, he does not have any money.   And then he is asking if I can loan him 2,850 Euros!

Oh my gossh!  Is this true?! What happened to Andy!?  Is he ok? I just met-up with him the other day.

Fortville Singapore Apartments - The latest news

I've heard a lot of things coming up in Fortville Apartments Singapore.

My friend told me that the renovation of all the apartments are finished already!  And they have even installed 14 CCTV cameras to secure the building.

They have also finished doing their new Management Office.  He only told me that the new office is now more spacious, a lot bigger than the old cramp office.

Fortville Singapore has also made a "lounge".  Inside it doesn't look like an office so tt must be a lounge for the residents and guests as it has two big glass doors.  I dont know what's inside but a big corner sofa can be seen inside.

Thief's Market in Singapore

A thief market!  A "thieves market!"  ...in Singapore?!?

Nobody would have thought that such  place exist in this highly developed country.  Or at least, I didn't.  Aside from being a global hub, Singapore is very known for strict rules and fines!  Everywhere you go, you see posters and stickers about fines!

JackDi.com is now PR2

I have read from a Cebu-based SEO forum today that the big G had a PR update.  I didn't mind at all.  This little blog of mine is too young to harness some PageRank powers, I said to myself.

And so I just continued doing the usual thing, I had to make updates and publish a blog post about a current Cebu Pacific Promo.  After publishing it, I had to see my homepage if it displayed properly.

And there I saw!

I got a "2" in the upper right corner of my GoogleChrome!  That was my PR checker plugin.  My homepage JackDi.com registered a PR2!  From PR0 to PR2!  What a jump!

Oh my gosh!
I almost jumped out of my bed.

Wanna see it?  Here, just click on this image below for a larger view:
Google PR update JackDi.com PR1 PR2 PR3 links for sale ads space for rent Cebu Pacific Promo Naruto One Piece Bleach Spoilers Manga
JackDi.com is now PR2
Wow!
This is fantastic.

I had it cross-checked with a PR Checker, see the results HERE.

I must have done a good job doing my d-i-y SEO.  He-he-he!  I must have done it correctly.  Oh yeah, I am a Jack of All Trade after all.  This is my first time doing it, and I received a nice price.

For me, being a newbie as I am, this is worth celebrating.  But its too early for that.  I need to do more SEO's, fresh and unique blog posts, back-linking, blog-commenting, and oh a lot more.  I need to maintain this PR2 level or take a little step higher.

Oopppsss!  Need to work..

:-)

The Best is Yet to Come (by Frank Sinatra)

I am posting about this song here to compliment what I have published about the Cebu Pacific Air's The Beach is Yet to Come promo.

The song - The Best is Yet to Come - is in fact imprinted in Frank Sinatra's tombstone.  Personally, I think these words signifies the true meaning of patience.  Patience is indeed a virtue.  And good things are bound to come for those who wait with patience.

Here are the lyrics of the very song from the famous artist Frank Sinatra.  I also included the chords for my personal reference as I myself also know how to play the guitar.

How to make All Links to Open in a New Tab or Window in Blogger Blog

I have been wanting to do this :  I want to open all links in a new tab.  My reason?  I just want the homepage to remain open while your guys open and read the contents of a link in a new tab or window.  At least by setting this up like this, you don't have to type the homepage url again just to go back to the homepage.

Color Code for Crimping Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 cables

I am an accountant by profession.  I am currently holding around 12 companies under my fingers.  But in one way or another, I am bound to help my teammates.  One of these ways is helping them with the computers.  Then there comes connecting their computers into the LAN network.  And so on...

Yesterday, I had to re-crimp a LAN cable as it seemed to have a "loose contact" in one end.  You may think crimping a LAN cable is way too far away from an accountant's work.  But if you take a look at it closely, you'll see how easy it is.

The main thing with crimping a LAN cable is that you know the color codes.  You splice, and slot in the cable unto the RJ45 jack.  Tighten it... and its done!  I assume you know that a crimper is need here, of course.

Photobucket, ImageShack and TinyPic are behaving unlikely lately.  So I am putting this page in this blog for me to put in some screenshots and photos that I would need to publish or link to other sites.  I have been wanting to do this, but I got no time to start it.  :D So I guess now is the time.

If by chance you wanted to publish the same screenshots into your website or somewhere else, feel free to do so.  But in return, I must ask that you to have the courtesy to at least link the source to this page or mention my blog.

I believe this Stock Photo Pages would come in very to me me for my personal use... or to "us" for that matter. :-)

Ok, let's get this started.

I received this email from PayPal.  Im not scared about this but I am also not sure if I'm gonna reply or not.

How to Open Links in New Tab or New Window

This idea has just crossed my mind. I was reading the episode release for One Piece this week. And so when I clicked on the link, a new website opens in the same window. After I've read it, I had to type again the previous website address that I've been reading first.

And so I thought.... can I possibly click-open to a new tab or to a new window when I click a link?

Oh yes I we can!

After scavenging over the net (which I usually do), here is what I found:

1) To open links in a new window, ADD this is the script in your tag :
target="_new"

Hence, the full script would look like this:
<a href="http://www.jackdi.com/" target="_new">Jack Di</a>
For the actual result, click this - Jack Di

Email Subscription or Feeds for a Specific Category or Label in Blogger

This little blog of mine has a simple email subscription widget in my sidebar.  If you like what I'm doing and you wanted to be kept posted on everything I blog, you can actually just subscribe to my blogs.  Upon doing this, you can receive all updates on any article that I publish in my blog.

A nice idea, right?
You will have the luxury of checking my blog through your emails.

But what happens if you as the  avid reader only wants to receive updates on specific "labels" or "categories" only?  This question often arises on Blogs with no specific niche - just like JackDi.com of course.  He-he-he!

I have actually asked myself about this too.

And right now, I have finally found the answer!  All we need to do actually is just to find your blog feed url or blog feed address of that specific category or label.

Here is what you should do:
