I am posting about this song here to compliment what I have published about the Cebu Pacific Air's The Beach is Yet to Come promo.

The song - The Best is Yet to Come - is in fact imprinted in Frank Sinatra's tombstone.  Personally, I think these words signifies the true meaning of patience.  Patience is indeed a virtue.  And good things are bound to come for those who wait with patience.

The Sound of Music : SO LONG, FAREWELL

My younger daughter was asked to researched on the song from "The Sound of Music".  She has seen the movie.  Thus, she remembered which of the songs she likes best.  Its was the song entitled: SO LONG, FAREWELL.

I was walking my way from lunch and I heard this song from a group of young students.  They were sitting on a bench singing in chorus with a lone iPhone in front of them.  I see they are really enjoying it.

In an instant, I remembered my daughters (ages 8 & 10).  Both are not good singer but both of them really loves to sing, specially the eldest.

One time, they were on an excursion to a convent in a remote parish in a mountain.  They were one group of "angels and choirs" to perform in the church during the mass.  On their way, somebody strum the guitar.  And everybody started singing.   Yes, the song they sung is I'm Yours.   Everybody sung except my daughters who don't know the song.

The moment they arrived home, they ask me to find the song online with just the word "love-love-love".  Anyway, I was able to find the correct one in 20 minutes.  :D

My angels were very happy!

Inday sa Balitaw (lyrics & musical notes)

This my daughter's assignment. She is currently in primary 4 (grade 4). Their music teacher asked them to copy the music sheet of the song Inday sa Balitaw from the board and instructed them to transcribe the notes.

Sounds easy, right?

The thing is, the students were not taught on how to transcribe notes. Not yet as of the moment. There was a clue give though. The teacher told them that the first note is "so". And then ask them to follow-on from there.

My daughter almost cried as she does not know how to transcribe notes. She knows how to Google anyway. But she couldn't find what she wanted for her assignment. Lyrics were available all over the net, but not the transcription. Some more, most of the lyrics over the net got a missing line.

Luckily, i knew how to do musical transcription.
