Configuring a 2Wire ADSL Wireless Modem as a Wireless Router or as an Access Point

I have been asked by my friends on how to use back an old 2Wire ADSL Router.   Honestly, I do not know how to do it.   I got an old one in the office so I had tried to do some testings and configurations myself.  A practice config so to speak.

I was able to do it correctly.  He-he-he!

And since most of those who asked are not as "techy", I had put-up a step-by-step procedure with pictures.   Let me start...

How to Configure a 2Wire ADSL Wireless Modem as a Wireless Router or as an Access Point

I am assuming that the 2wire router that you have is an ADSL Wireless Router.  And that it is currenly connected to modem via lan cable.  If what you have is just a DSL Modem type - no wireless - then this procedures does not apply.

K-Lite Codec - a great help for me!

There were times that I need to watch some documentary films online.  I need to review some things for a my studies.    Finding the documentaries were easy.  Google is there for me to help.  But it was playing it that makes it difficult.

I can see my brother's computer playing the movies so well.  But how come mine isn't able to do so.  The I realized it has something to do with my media software.

The answer was actually just under my nose:  K-Lite Codec.  An all-codec-in-a-single-pack.

This was my experience years and years ago.  I am trying to blog about this today because I still see people having the same problem.  This should solve it easily.

Right now, the latest version is 6.6.0 already!  Wow!  This codec doesn't help you with the movies only.  It also applies audio files as well.   Read on the features of K-Lite Codec below.

The best solution would be to buy an anti-radiation device for your handsets.  There are lots of this in the market.  But be sure to choose the best.  

Try not to be intimidated by the price of this tiny piece device.  It is already very cheap compared to the cost it saves - your life!
